What can one do?

I seem to be discussing this point a lot these days, the need for being assertive and not letting people walk all over us. Why is it that some people are always bending, adjusting and trying to change their life to make the life of others easier, while those others enjoy everything, use others shoulders to climb up and then just kick the people below and move on gloating and taking credit for everything?

It is not fair, life is not fair, but then we have to live it, don't we? So what can someone do to fight this evil world? I know i can't change myself, as it will be going against my principals, all that was taught to me as a child, and yet, i know, if i don't change, i will fall so hard and hurt myself so bad, that i will anyway be hurt. Then what does one do? Throw away the lessons taught by parents, stand up to the world, spit and say, look here, i know u using me and im not going to let you do so any more?

A modernist or a pre-modernist are always holding the same line of dogma or innocuous platitudes or being a rationalist really sometimes make the panic mind to underestimate our own individual values without any excuse. When we get into the analysis of self-respect, that will drag us to think about the ignorant points of the society. 'Kick Tricks' is nothing but the exact theory of survival of the fittest. Extreme violence is not with others, it is happening in the 'inside world' of everyone. How many people practicing the ideology to deconstruct the delusion of divine? Values are one of the constructed beliefs by the dominant class of mind to control the whole system. Artists, philistines, enterprises has their own way of expressions to find their own identity, but, the hidden truth and so called lies are acting as a shield with our wrath. The word 'USING' is not better than the word 'DEPENDENT'. There is a way where only we can see with our own vision. That really depends.

Don't spit, but don't let them walk over you. I'm sure your parents wouldn't want you to be a doormat and would be proud to hear that you stood your ground showed people that they can't manipulate / exploit you... :)

PS Welcome back chica!

Sucks to be pushover doesn't it? I know what you mean but you learn with time how to be polite but firm with people instead of aggressive and rude. Assertiveness is definitely a skill I have yet to master..
