Taking each moment as it comes can actually be fun !

For me, going on a vacation always involves lot of planning, deciding what time to leave, places to visit, map out things to do and of course i can get a little upset if the schedule is not kept. This weekend, we decided to drive out of Bangalore. We made bookings for a room to stay in, apart from that Y insisted we plan nothing in advance. So, i decided to just go along. We left the city 5 hours later than our expected ETD and i thought to myself, wow, i am surprisingly calm !

We cruised along the road, with nothing on our mind, lovely music playing and great company by my side. We drove at a leisurely pace and i truly enjoyed the drive ! The weekend went along with no planned itinerary in mind, we drove to places and just relaxed whenever we wanted. From crazy food experiments to a sumptuous meal, from crazy fits of laughter to driving aimlessly around, it sure was a weekend full of fun and things i have never done before. Thus i learn my lesson, trips can also be unplanned :)

Ramu chai lao

Even though i am Indian, i had always been more of a coffee person. Back home, my family drank 2 cups of tea a day, which were a ritual in our house. Yet i always preferred a cup of coffee to tea at any given point of time. It took me a stay in France to develop a liking for tea and there i was, in a coffee drinking country, addicted to tea!
When in France i lived with a family where the maman loved all kinds of tea. It was she who introduced me to the world of 'infusion' and i know i am now hooked for life. Fruit tea, flower extracts, calming tea, green tea and what not tea!
Now back to India, i have built a reputation of being the girl who walks around with her huge mug of tea. I have always been a person who gets comfort out of a hot cup of anything to sip on and hold. Tea being less harmful than coffee was thus just the thing for me! Everyone knew about my love for the drink and every time someone came from France or Sri Lanka or wherever they had been, id be gifted a packet of infusion from there. Even my wedding gifts included boxes and packets of tea from all around the world.
When i got married and moved into my new home, i brought along my tea obsession and the packets galore. In a matter of days i had gotten Yash hooked onto my tea routines. Every night after dinner or on a weekend after a huge meal, he turns to me and asks, shall we have tea? This ritual has coined a term ' Ramu chai lao ', which Yash uses on me. He knows i pretend to get bugged but do not succeed ! So this post is dedicated to Yash and the 'Ramu chai lao' which makes everything seem all right after the long and hectic day its been. Thank you Yash for sharing my tea craze and those many cups and chats we've shared over those yummy cups of tea :)
